12" (30 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, carved and tinted facial features with incised age lines and high cheekbones, deeply set sockets, tinted brows, black painted pate at back crown and attached queue, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910 from the original group, the model was described as "old gentleman". Value Points: the aged man wears original smoke-green jacket with black frog closures, long patterned silk tunic, silk leggings, silk slippers with upturned toes, silk cap.
