Description
19" (48 cm.) h. x 26"w. x 15"d. The wooden dollhouse with framed windows and door to suggest a Bavarian cottage such as arched windows, latticed windows on door front, and large window box, has two large rooms on two floors. The house is colorfully painted on all four sides with various nursery tale scenes, notably including Rapunzel. The Huguette Clark dollhouse collection of Baps-themed houses is discussed in a chapter in Baps, Dolls and Puppets by Nancy C. Felix-Moore (pp 21-23). Excellent condition. Germany, late 1950s.
