Description
16" (41 cm.) Standing upon a velvet-covered platform is a bisque-head man with blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pale accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms, wearing silk troubadour costume with velvet tunic, holding a mandolin, when wound, he strums and music plays. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1. French, attributed to Renou, circa 1885, with very fine portrait face, Sold as is.
