The long-bodied carved wooden dog in highly-stylized pose has original painted cream/brown finish, red sculpted gilt-edged collar, painted eyes, curled tail, defined rib cage, carved open mouth with gnawing teeth, on original wooden base. Excellent condition. Neapolitan/Genovese, mid-1700s, notable stylized carving.
