16" (41 cm.) Very thick pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with deeply-sloping shoulders and solid dome, six sew holes all around base of shoulderplate, and three wig sew holes at sides of head, painted bright blue eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, blushed cheeks, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette mohair braided wig, early cloth body with thick-paste porcelain arms, lower legs and bare feet, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860, mystery maker of the rare doll, another smaller example appeared in the Mildred Seeley collection, but few other examples are known to exist. Value Points: very rare doll with original matching limbs, bare feet, unusual sew hole attachments, original costume.
