11" (28 cm.) Each doll has carved wooden head with defined carving and tinting of facial features, carved and painted hair, firmly-stuffed cloth body, wooden lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese, circa 1925, from the Door of Hope Mission, included in the collection are Bride and Groom, mourner, Buddhist priest, Amah, and two students. Value Points: each doll is wearing superbly stitched and detailed original costume to represent the personage depicted.
