15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, grey glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with shapely torso and limbs, gusset-jointing at hips, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: Gaultier, French, circa 1875. Value Points: wonderful original rose silk gown with extended train, ruched silk and lace trim, with matching bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes, and carrying bone-handled silk parasol with lace border.
