17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with swivel head, firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features, blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, original blonde mohair bobbed wig, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, two tiny cheek complexion rubs. Comments: Kamkins, circa 1930s, the doll was made by American designer Louis Kampes and sold in her boutique in Atlantic City. Value Points: depicting the classic American child of the 1930s, the wonderfully-preserved doll has original painted finish and wig, and is wearing original linen sailor suit and cap, socks and shoes.
