Description
17" (43 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features and hair, brown painted short boyish hair with swirling forelock curls, shaded blue/grey eyes with outlined brown iris rims, thick brown and black upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with rosebud-shaped lips, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointing at hips, separately-stitched thumbs, wearing knit romper and twill shirt. Condition: excellent original finish on face and hair, body has some light spotting. Marks: (illegible stamps and lettering on feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1915. Value Points: fine original painting especially of eyes and forehead curls, wonderful original wooden and leather shoes with painted decoration.
