Description
8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, very plump face, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, tiny pert lips, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, cupped hands, painted white stockings and yellow heeled boots with black laces, lovely lace dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2(arms). Comments: Germany, circa 1885, attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk. Value Points: well modeled details of very plump child with muscular details of torso and legs, beautiful over-sized eyes.
