18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump facial modeling, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, accented and shaded lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 7 G. Comments: early period Gaultier bebe with block letter markings, circa 1884. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque, painting and sculpted detail, original body and body finish, superb antique silk and lace costume, undergarments, shoes, socks, bonnet.
