Description
11 1/2" (29 cm.) Carved wooden head, painted black circlet of hair on bald pate, carved and painted facial features, unusual tiny eyes, cloth body. Condition: very good, some darkening of complexion. Comments: Chinese Wooden Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910. Value Points: very distinctive facial carving, unusual attachment of queue to black cap, original costume of blue silk short jacket with matching leggings, long purple tunic, black silk slippers with ankle ties.
