Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, applied brunette mohair moustache, all-wooden body with shapely torso and well-articulated limbs, having dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, extra pivots at upper arms and legs, Condition: generally excellent, wooden toes on right foot chipped off. Marks: 5 (head and shoulders). Comments: Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: especially handsome face with remarkable eyes and eye painting, all-wooden body, and with wonderful antique costume of gentleman including fitted top coat, checkered pants, silk vest and tie, top hat, stickpin, and watch with fob and chain.
