14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented nostrils and eye corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 5 (and artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. Value Points: pretty wide-eyed bebe has beautiful deep eyes, original body and body finish, dainty antique costume, and original Jumeau shoes (missing soles). Value Points: very fine creamy bisque contrasts the large dramatic eyes, beautifully painted features, original body and body finish, antique muslin dress with undergarments, early leather shoes with silk rosettes, straw bonnet with lily of the valley floral clusters.
