11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 959. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: rare petite size of the sought-after model, closed mouth, early original body and body finish.
