Description
25" (64 cm.) A charming garden-like setting is arranged upon an oval ebonized wooden base, with mirrored "pond" and a flowering tree upon which are posed three bisque-head dolls, dressed in original silk costumes with gilt paper trim, each doll with cobalt blue eyes and closed mouth, mohair wig, and paper mache and wooden body. Two dolls are seated on branches holding guitars, and the girl is balanced upon an acrobatic bar. When wound, the two gentlemen play the instruments, and the girl performs her acrobatic act. Several tunes play. Condition: very good, original presentation albeit dusty. Phalibois,circa 1880. Sold as is.
