19" (48 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and oil painted facial features, large round painted blue side-glancing googly eyes with spiral threading, glazed eye whites, painted long upper lashes, blue lower eye shadow, "O" shaped mouth, blonde mohair wig in upswept manner, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (paper label with ink script 250.308). Comments: Italy, Lenci, circa 1945. Value Points: pristine fresh condition, the rare googly doll has fresh crisp facial painting, and is wearing original vibrant rayon gown in flowered pattern, with ruffled organdy petticoat and pantalets, black felt shoes and hat with felt flowers and black netting, blue rayon purse, lace-edged handkerchief.
