17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral-threaded paperweight eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pale accented lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms with cupped fingers, lovely blue silk costume and velvet bonnet, undergarments, stockings, and leather shoes signed G.P. and carrying a white fur salon dog. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 7 G. (head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: especially beautiful bebe with splendid eyes, sturdy original body and perfect bisque hands. The bebe was shown in an article, "The Elusive A.T. Bebes" by Samy Odin in Doll News, Spring 2017 in which he hypothesized that this bebe, marked F.G., was commissioned and marketed by Thuillier.
