18" (46 cm.) Paper-mache bulldog with flocked finish,black spots,brown glass eyes,painted freckles and black eye outlines,hinged jaw with painted teeth and inner mouth,leather collar with ruff,chain link leash. When leash is pulled,the jaw opens and closes,and the dog growls. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,circa 1900. Value Points: well defined musculature,original ruff,collar,growl,leash.
