Description
5" (13 cm.) One-piece bisque head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms with starfish-shaped hands, painted topknot and forelock curls, blue wings, black side-glancing eyes, thickly fringed upper lashes, dash brows, painted white socks with blue rims and black one-strap shoes with tiny bows, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, made in Germany, circa 1915. Value Points: rare painted shoes and socks, antique costume.
