20" (51 cm.) Standing upon a green velvet-covered base is a bisque head girl with brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, closed mouth, shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, wearing original red silk and lace costume with matching bonnet, and is holding a little all-bisque doll in her right hand and a mirror in her left. When wound, head turns side-to-side, nods, lifts her little doll, and then, alternately lifts the mirror, while music plays. Condition: generally excellent, music and mechanism function well. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG (head, and artist checkmarks). (original paper tune label indicating "Les Cloches de Cornville Valse"). Comments: Leopold Lambert, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful bebe with lavish costume, endearing action.
