12" (30 cm.) x 10". Oil on canvas painting depicts a child sitting in a meadow,with trees and fence in the background,and surrounded by wild flowers. Wearing a white dress with detailed tucks and lace,and with detail of costume including earrings,necklace and bracelet,she is holding a little doll between her two hands; the doll,curiously,is shown from the back. The painting is in original wooden frame. Generally excellent. Mid-19th century.
