Bisque socket head, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully jointed body with straight wrists, original painted and outlined white nails. Condition: generally excellent, 1/4" original firing line at back crown rim, torso wear. Marks: Le Parisien A 3-4 Paris (head) Au Nain Bleu E. Chauviere Boul des Capucines 21 Paris (original label on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, special commissioned doll for the Paris luxury toy shop of Au Nain Bleu, circa 1890. Value Points: the all-original little doll wears beautiful original antique lace dress with red ribbon trim, undergarments, socks and shoes.
