All carved wooden doll with socket head, plump lower face, intaglio carved narrow eyes with outlined blue eyes, heavy eyelids, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette mohair wig, all-wooden spring-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: very good, some very light touch-up above lips. Marks: Schoenhut Doll, Pat. Jan. 17, ‘11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1911, sculpted by Graziano for Schoenhut, this 302 model emulates the K*E model 101 known as "Marie". Value Points: compelling facial expression with very deeply sculpted eyes and primly-set pensive lips, on this rare Schoenhut model.
