26" (66 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with plump elongated cheeks and chin, oval-shaped face, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A 13 T. Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1884, from the early period of his firm's production; few dolls were created each year during this time. Value Points: very rare doll in pristine condition with especially fine quality of sculpting such as well-defined chin, lips and philtrum, superb bisque and painting, original wig lettered "13" on inside, original body and body finish, and wearing superb antique silk bebe dress with lace trim, undergarments, stockings, superb woven bonnet with lace trim, and leather laced boots signed C.P.
