18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with elongated throat, brown sculpted hair waved loosely from her face and captured under a bonnet perched atop her head, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, kid body with gusset jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent, some typical flakes and touch-up on Dresden flower petals. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: outstanding detail of decorated bisque bonnet with gilt-edging, floral appliques and wide fancy streamers that tie in a grand bow at the throat, with beautiful antique silk costume with applique ribbons, undergarments, black finger less lace gloves, gilt mesh purse, stockings, leather shoes. The doll has a blue ribbon award from 1987 UFDC convention.
