Description
5" (13 cm.) -12". Each is all bisque with one-piece head and torso, painted topknot and forelock curls, painted side-glancing googly eyes, thickly painted lashes, dash brows, closed thin-line smile, blue wings, loop-jointed arms with starfish-shaped hands. Condition: generally excellent, largest has hidden repair on stringing loop of one arm. Marks: O'Neill (incised on feet of all) (three have original paper labels, two with red heart labels). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, made in Germany, circa 1912. Value Points: wonderful family of graduated sizes, including the very rare largest size all-bisque Kewpie.
