14" (36 cm.) Black-complexioned bisque head with flanged neck, sculpted short black curly hair, brown painted eyes in deeply set sockets, broad nose, closed mouth with full lips, bellows in torso which cause the doll to clap its hands when squeezed, wooden lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1890, mystery maker. Value Points: rare highly characterized model with flawless bisque, rich complexion, rare body and with original costume, along with high wooden stool.
