Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded light brown hair with forelock curl, shaded green/brown eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pensive expression, stitch-jointed shoulders, wide disc-jointed five-seam legs, separately-stitched thumbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 3132 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type I, circa 1920. Value Points: especially endearing expression enhanced by fine artistic blushing of cheeks and ears, wonderful antique costume. Private collection Linda Kellermann.
