Description
16" (41 cm.) All carved wood with socket head, deeply carved facial features, deeply carved small blue downcast eyes and black upper eyeliner, white eye dots, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth pouting expression, blonde mohair wig, wooden spring-jointed body. Condition: good, original finish with some light touch-up, hands repainted. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 17, ‘11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, the model closely resembles the 114 model of Kammer and Reinhardt, this no stocking groove model was marketed as the revised model of 304/306 (see #137, this catalog) and was only sold in 1911, Schoenhut's first year of production. Value Points: wonderful pensive expression of the rare model, with antique costume and holding Schoenhut wooden goose.
