20" (51 cm.) All-stockinette doll with firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, center seam head, brown brushstroked hair with forelock detail, shaded brown eyes with white eyedots, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with somber expression, well-shaped ears, cloth ring neck, separately-stitched arms, loosely-attached legs in slightly bent baby shape, nicely costumed. Condition: very good/excellent, some few moth holes at bottom back legs. Comments: Kathe Kruse, the model marketed as "Du Mein", circa 1925. Value Points: appealing wistful face has original artistic painting of features and hair.
