All carved wooden doll, socket head with very full cheeks punctuated by deeply carved dimples, intaglio carved dark blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, white eye dots, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with broad smile framed by carved laughter lines, row of carved teeth between the accented lips, brunette human hair, all-wooden spring-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, nice original finish. Marks: Schoenhut Doll. Pat. Jan. 17, ‘11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, their model 305, circa 1911. Value Points: wonderful laughing expression on the rare early model with rare carved teeth.
