Description
5" (13 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged slender bisque torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with suggestion of smile, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, peg-jointed slender bisque arms and legs, bare feet, antique silk costume, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 0 (head and torso). Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonettes appeared in Parisian Etrennes catalogs described as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to their size. Value Points: dear pert smile enhances the cobalt blue eyes, rare bare feet.
