48" (122 cm.) h. 48"l. 26"w. Of finely-grained mahogany with inlay panels of exotic fruitwood, the Hepplewhite baby bed is decorated with a crest of fully-carved roses and petals, which is repeated in a wide garland below a large oval-shaped painting. There is further carving of roses on the exterior foot board, and on each exterior side, and the bed is nicely fitted with blankets and pillows. Generally excellent. English, early 1800s, a splendid and luxurious furnishing.
