22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and very full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve- blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight loose ball-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, his early portrait model bebe. Value Points: rare early model with loveliest bisque, original body and body finish, original Jumeau wig, fine antique costume includes leather shoes signed "Bebe Jumeau Depose 10".
