Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) A heart-shaped trinket box with shaded-color decoration has an unusual Kewpie handle, as Kewpie rests on his back atop the lid, his head uptilted for easy use as lid handle, his arms outstretched and his left foot extended upward, and with classic features of topknot, blue wings and side-glancing eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1915, from Rose O'Neill designs. Value Points: charming novelty Kewpie.
