Description
12" (30 cm.) Solid domed paper mache head with painted pale complexion and facial feature, shaded blue eyes with grey eyeliner, thick dark upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, cloth body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: designed by Jean Ray for Lang & Guillemaut, and presented in the Parisian shop of Au Bon Marche in 1921. Value Points: rare fashionable doll of the flapper years, with artistically painted features, wearing original costume of silk skirt, black velvet jacket and cloche, undergarments, shoes, stockings.
