Bisque socket head with very full cheeks and chin, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth, defined space between the pale accented lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, impressed dimpled chin and lip corners, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 14 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his celebrated model sculpted by famed French sculptor Carrier-Belleuse, circa 1884. Value Points: especially beautiful model with delicate bisque, soft blushing, original Jumeau wig, original body and body finish and wearing Jumeau velvet dress with lace trim, undergarments, fine silk bonnet, socks and shoes.
