11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, brown sculpted hair waved backward, brown sculpted short beard, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted yellow boots with red edging, green stockings, wearing very elaborate original silk costume comprising silk pants, embroidered gilt thread tunic, full length coat, long cape with fringed metallic edging and elaborate turban. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, handsome visage with well-defined beard, well-detailed costume, depicted as Caspar of the Three Wise Men.
