9" (23 cm.) h. 10" w. The wooden two-drawer chest has bombe-shaped front, scalloped apron, curved legs and ogee-shaped top, with original bronze-gilt paint and painted scrolled garlands, and a scene of two winged cherubs, with original bronze mounts and knobs, and velvet-lined drawers. Excellent condition. French, circa 1880, very beautiful painted scenes.
