Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque bust on self plinth depicts an elegant lady with deeply-sculpted blonde hair in arranged ringlet curls that frame her face and tumble onto her shoulders, captured by a rose scarf and beaded gold coronet, intaglio blue eyes, rose all-around eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, blushed cheeks, sculpted low bodice with blue interwoven ribbons and hint of an ermine wrap at one shoulder. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1875, outstanding sculptural detail.
