Description
22" (56 cm.) A glass dome with wooden ebony base has red velvet base upon which is posed a tufted red gilt cushion with gilt frame and with beveled gilt-framed mirror having painted floral decorations. The cushion is decorated with an extraordinary number of gilt ormolu symbols of long life and prosperity, as well as additional medals, bisque flowers, and a surmounting gilt ormolu bird with wreath. The original coronet of the bride with wax orange blossoms and little pearls still rests on the cushion. Excellent condition. French, circa 1885.
