20" (51 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso, oval face with elongated throat and slightly modeled bosom, solid dome, deeply-sculpted eye sockets, enamel eyes, shaded brown eye shadow and brows, aquiline nose closed mouth, shaped waist, defined rounded hips, dowel-jointing at shoulders and elbows, swivel lower arms and hands with expressively-posed fingers, on original wooden cage skirt base. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Continental, late 18th century. Value Points: the outstanding quality of facial and hand sculpting, including detailed ears and eyes, are enhanced by fine original painted finish.
