18" (46 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair in center part and waved behind the sculpted ears into long thick ringlet curls, painted brown eyes with heavy eyelids, black eyeliner and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, slender kid body with wooden lower arms and legs, painted orange shoes. Condition: generally excellent, very light craquelure on face. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare size with beautifully detailed hair, ears, and facial features, rare brown eyes, sturdy original body, original costume.
