Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, kid gusset-jointed poupee body with slender torso, stitched and separated fingers, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, included is rose silk gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (original Simonne label on torso). Comments: French, circa 1865, the doll was presented at the prestigious Parisian boutique of Maison Simonne on Rue de Rivoli. Value Points: gorgeous face with brilliant cobalt eyes, finest quality of bisque and painting, very sturdy original body with boutique label.
