Description
3" (8 cm.) l. bobbin lace board. Comprising a blue velvet covered board for making bobbin lace with silver framed pillow and bobbins (likely originally a presentation Viennese dance card); 2"l. oval tortoise sewing box with gilt frame and feet, and blue silk lining fitted with tiny gilt sewing tools; French bombe shaped sewing basket with tiny scissors, and a needle box containing a folding fan whose blades originally held needles (not present), labeled "H. Milward & Sons Patent Fan Needlecase" and "A Merry Christmas". Excellent condition. Late 1800s.
