8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso with shapely modeling, plump cheeks, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the pale lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg jointing at shoulders, jointed hips and knees allowing for easy sitting or kneeling poses, shapely legs with tiny ankles, grey painted ankle boots with black lacing. Condition: generally excellent, some retouch to torso. Marks: 111 (head and thighs). Comments: Kestner, circa 1882. Value Points: extremely rare all-bisque in grand size, with exquisite modeling and bisque, very rare jointed-knee body, and wearing an exquisite antique costume and bonnet.
