24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, very full lower cheeks and chin, large brown glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 15 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: finest quality of bisque with pale complexion on the closed mouth model, original body and body finish, fine antique woolen mariner costume and leather cap, leather shoes.
