24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, rose eye shadow, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 11 (head) Bebe Jumeau BTE SGDG Depose (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. Value Points: brilliant blue eyes enhanced by rich dark eye decoration and rose shading, luminous bisque with beautiful complexion and painting, original body and body finish, and wearing original fine ivory silk costume with dainty feather stitch embroidery, undergarments, socks, shoes, and bonnet.
