14" (36 cm.) All-cloth doll with early three-seam head, firmly-stuffed and oil-painted head, painted brown hair with forelock curls, painted hazel eyes with shaded detail, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, stitch-jointed shoulders. disc-jointed legs with wide hips, separately-stitched thumbs, antique costume. Condition: very good, limbs have some spotting. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and illegible numbers on foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, the Type VII model known as "Kleines Du Mein", the petite doll was made from 1927-1930 only. Value Points: rare model with endearing wistful expression, artistic painting.
